TO MY COUPLE GOAL ON THEIR SILVER JUBILEE MARRIAGE ANNIVERSARY
Without contraction, the less is blest of the greater Heb. 7:7 Dear NguPaul, As part of the requirements to be joined in Holy Matrimony in LFC AKA Winners Chapel Worldwide, I recently read a book by Mummy Faith O. Oyedepo, on Building a Successful Family. This book opens with an amazing introduction that says (paraphrased): until a family man succeeds in his marriage, no matter the greatness of his other achievements on earth, his success is yet incomplete. Contemporary society suffers terrible set-backs that get worse by the day due to too many broken families, resulting from too many bad marriages over the good ones. This added to some of the worrisome experiences I had while growing up and made me somehow paranoid about marriage even though I desired it. Then sometime in 2014, after hearing so much about you as a missionary and renowned Medical doctor, doing great exploits with your team in the business of saving lives through medical missions (OCMM), I met a mentor and his wife, whose impact on me would change my life forever at no cost, instead, offered me Jesus, material support, closure, parental guardian, prayers and taught me that a smile is the best dress one could ever wear, and cheer me on in such a way that the coals under my feet at some point felt like ice. This special privilege to write on your 25th marriage anniversary wouldn’t be complete without me letting you know that: 1. Life gave me the opportunity to grow up under the roof of many homes, thereby witnessing a good number of marriages; yours is one of the two outstanding ones! 2. I love the peaceful, tension free atmosphere of your home because of the mutual respect you both have for each other. 3. The manner in which you both passionately seek and serve God inspires me more than you will ever know. 4. Your mentorship has a major impact on why I have been able to sustain in the relationship that will lead me to the altar in a few days! 5. I would love nothing more than to raise my boys to be responsible, kind, courteous and also respect women like you have trained Samuel. To raise my girls to be smart, intelligent, gorgeous, domesticated, and decent like the woman you have made out of Esther. 6. You are one of the few true successes because you have succeeded and are succeeding in your marriage and family. 7. I look forward to having a marriage where my children won’t ever have an account of when they ever saw their father and I having a rift, and where my spouse and I would still be crushing on each other even way after 2 decades of our marriage journey. Congratulations Daddy and Mummy on this special occasion of your silver jubilee marriage anniversary! Congratulations, my couple goal! I pray for Grace to sustain even better in Jesus' name.
